This was a custom made buckle for the 2011 NAMM show. It features the black binding and colorful abalone side dot inlays. The buckle is ebony wood with Mother-of-Pearl trapezoid inlays. Everything is handcrafted including the leather belts and cast buckle backs. All buckles are clear coated and gloss polished. YUM! When I work with ebony it always remind me of chocolate. I am addicted to chocolate. Ebony ironically smells similar to chocolate when its sanded but unfortunatley the taste is just not there and the texture just does not compare to a Hersey's Bar. Now I know there is plenty of high end chocolate out there but Herseys is my favorite. If you are ever in Pennsylvania; check out the Hersey Factory.
